The County Library Donates More Than Seven Tons of Food to Utah Food Bank
As part of their library month campaign, The County Library held a food drive for its patrons and staff through the month of April. The drive resulted in a 14,120-pound donation to Utah Food Bank, up 24 percent from 2016’s donation.

The County Library is hosting its first Outstanding Wizarding Levels (O.W.L.) Camp this July at the Library’s Viridian Event Center, offering Salt Lake County youth, ages 11-18, the chance to receive an O.W.L. letter, board Platform 9 3/4 and attend Hogwarts for a day.
The County Library Tackles Suicide, Depression as Part of Countywide Reading Initiative
United We Read SLC continues its discussion series of “A Man Called Ove” at Salt Lake County Library’s Bingham Creek branch on May 10. The discussion will feature a special guest from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Utah who will share information about depression and suicide prevention.
