Teacher Night at Clark Planetarium

Dani Weigand

If you are a teacher in Salt Lake or the surrounding areas, we’d like to invite you to learn more about how Clark Planetarium space science education programs can compliment the lessons in your classroom.

On Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 Clark Planetarium will host a Teacher Night, inviting educators to come to the planetarium to learn the in’s and out’s of booking a field trip for their students. We showcase programming in the Hansen Dome Theatre that is available free of charge to Utah public schools as part of our partnership with the State Office of Education.

Our education staff will be available for questions while providing science demonstrations,  information on teacher resources and training opportunities at the planetarium.

If would like to attend this free event, please RSVP by emailing Laura Smith (lrsmith@slco.org) in our Reservations Department by Oct. 18, 2010 with your selected showtime. Programs will run in the Hansen Dome Theatre at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Teachers are encouraged to bring one guest with them, but to help ensure all interested teachers are able to attend, we are not taking reservations for families at this time.
